WHITE ZEPHIR

The White Zephir radish is an early-maturing root crop with a round shape and white skin, sometimes with a slight greenish tint on the head. Fruit sizes vary, with an average weight ranging from 38 to 90 grams and a diameter of about 7 cm. The flesh is juicy, tender, and dense, with a sharply sweet taste that is not accompanied by strong bitterness. This variety is distinguished by good commercial qualities, resistance to cracking, and slight frosts, making it attractive for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

White Zephir is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under film covers. It is undemanding regarding soil type and can be sown at different times, starting from early spring. For sowing, a depth of about 2 cm is recommended with row spacing of 7 cm and plant spacing of 3-4 cm. Care of the plants includes regular watering, weeding, loosening, and feeding with mineral fertilizers. To obtain a continuous harvest, repeated sowings can be carried out with an interval of two weeks.

The maturation period of White Zephir radish ranges from 20 to 46 days depending on growing conditions. The root crops are well transported and can be stored in a cold room for up to a month, retaining their taste and commercial qualities. This variety is widely used in cuisine for preparing cold soups, vegetable salads, and various appetizers, thanks to its juicy and pleasant taste.
