Adel

Adele radish is an early, high-yielding variety characterized by a short growing period — from 20 to 25 days after emergence. The roots are round, with a diameter of 3–4 cm and an average weight of 30–35 grams. The skin is bright red, and the flesh is white and juicy, providing an attractive appearance and excellent taste. The fruits are firm, resistant to cracking and hollowing, which contributes to good transportability and long-term preservation of their firm shape after harvest.

Adele is a cold-tolerant crop that can be grown year-round in open ground or in plastic or glass greenhouses. Radish tolerates acidic soils and does not require liming. The recommended planting density is 200–240 plants per square meter, which allows harvest yields of up to 3.5–4 kg per square meter. To ensure successful growth, avoid fresh organic fertilizers, as they may negatively affect the appearance of the roots and promote pest infestations.

The Adele variety is highly resistant to stressful conditions and requires minimal care, making it a popular choice for cultivation in southern Ukraine and other regions with similar climatic conditions. Radish is recommended to be sown after crops that do not belong to the cruciferous family, as repeated planting on the same spot over 2–3 years may reduce yields and lower product quality. Due to its characteristics and versatility, Adele radish is suitable for both commercial cultivation and personal gardens.
