Yanina is a medium-early maturing muscat pumpkin variety characterized by a vegetative period from germination to the beginning of fruit ripening of approximately 100-105 days. The fruits have an elongated-oval shape with weak ribbing and a bright orange color, sometimes with green spots that disappear as the fruit fully ripens. The average fruit weight is about 6.0-6.5 kg, and the flesh is distinguished by its rich orange color, thickness, juiciness, and very sweet taste, making this variety especially attractive to consumers.
The Yanina variety is suitable for cultivation both under irrigation and without it, showing a medium yield of 25.4 tons per hectare. It has moderate resistance to powdery mildew, enhancing its reliability in various climatic conditions. Seeds are sown when the soil temperature reaches +12°C, at a depth of 4-5 cm, with a seeding rate of 0.4 g per square meter, and the 1000-seed weight is 150-170 g.
Due to its taste qualities and flesh structure, the Yanina variety is ideal for diverse uses: juice, paste, candied fruit, and dietary food products. Moreover, the fruits of this variety can be stored for several months, ensuring a long shelf life and ease of use.
