Description Carmine
Carmine — an early watermelon variety, ripening on average in 65-70 days after emergence of seedlings. The fruits of this variety are large, weighing from 4 to 6 kilograms, with a blunt-elliptical or round shape. The flesh of the watermelon is characterized by a rich carmine-red color, it is tender, very juicy and sweet, making this variety especially attractive for lovers of sweet and aromatic fruits.

This watermelon variety is characterized by good transportability, which allows maintaining fruit quality during long-distance transport. Carmine watermelon is resistant to diseases such as Fusarium wilt and anthracnose, significantly simplifying its cultivation and increasing yield. It is recommended to grow on light, fertile soils, and the crop is heat-loving and requires sufficient lighting for full development.

Seed sowing should be carried out after soil warming to a temperature not lower than 15 degrees Celsius, planting seeds at a depth of 3-5 centimeters. Under optimal germination temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius, seedlings emerge 5-6 days after sowing. Sowing rate ranges from 0.2 to 5 grams per square meter depending on growing conditions. Carmine watermelon is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover, making it a versatile choice for various climatic conditions.
