EN MARS

EN MARS is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) intended for producing high-quality flour and bread. It belongs to medium-maturing varieties with a vegetative period of 263 to 302 days and is characterized by medium height and an intensive growth type. The variety possesses high adaptability and genetic productivity potential, ensuring yields up to 118 c/ha. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 37 to 45 grams, while protein content reaches 15%, with gluten content up to 30.6%, which positively affects the baking qualities of the product.

EN MARS is distinguished by high frost- and winter-hardiness, resistance to lodging and diseases such as powdery mildew, solid and powdery bunt, as well as brown rust. Due to these characteristics, the variety is recommended for cultivation on medium and high agronomic backgrounds, especially in regions with a moderate climate, such as the Oryol region. For seed protection, treatment with a fungicide containing an insecticide is recommended, which helps maintain plant health and increase yield.

The EN MARS variety is optimal for sowing in the first and second decade of September with a sowing rate of 350 to 500 seeds per square meter depending on the predecessor. Its high resistance to adverse conditions and diseases, as well as good baking properties, make this variety in demand in agriculture for the production of quality grain and flour.
