Description Tessadur
Tessadur — a hard wheat variety with strong stems, recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. It belongs to the medium-early maturity groups and is suitable for both conventional and organic farming. The variety features compact height, providing resistance to lodging and spike breakage, as well as high stability and resilience to stressful conditions.

The grain of Tessadur is characterized by high quality: large, with a high 1000-grain weight, glassiness of about 90%, and protein content up to 16%. Due to these characteristics, the variety is particularly valuable for the food processing industry, especially for pasta production, providing high flour and semolina yields — up to 65%. The high gluten content makes the grain suitable for various technological processes.

The variety exhibits good resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew and Fusarium head blight, contributing to stable and high productivity. Tessadur was recognized at the "Privolzhье 2023" Agropolygon as the variety with the highest gluten content. The breeder is Saatbau Linz, and the variety was registered in 2019.
