This variety features low plant height and a glumeless ear 8-9 cm long, containing 14-18 florets. Due to its agronomic characteristics, Katarina demonstrates high resistance to lodging, frost, and drought, making it especially valuable for cultivation in forest-steppe and Polissia regions.

The variety possesses good baking qualities with protein content in grain ranging from 12 to 14%, corresponding to grade A2.1. Katarina excels in its main commercial product over by-products, enhancing the economic efficiency of its cultivation. The potential yield of this variety reaches 7 tons per hectare at a seeding rate of 4-4.2 million germinating seeds per hectare.
