Winter wheat variety "Dovirie" is a fast-maturing, high-yielding variety developed by the Selection-Genetic Institute of the National Center for Seed Production and Variety Testing in Odessa. This variety features universal cultivation technology and belongs to the maturity group with a period of 276-280 days. The thousand-grain weight ranges from 42-44 grams, and plant height varies from 92 to 102 cm. The protein content in the grain is 13.8-14.6%, and gluten content is 33.0-35.0%, ensuring high grain quality and suitability for various purposes. The "Dovirie" variety possesses high genetic potential for productivity and grain quality, which is realized both under optimal and drought conditions. Plants develop intensively in autumn and undergo hardening processes during the autumn-winter period, ensuring frost and winter hardiness above average levels. Additionally, the variety exhibits high drought and heat tolerance due to physiological-genetic mechanisms, as well as resistance to lodging, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Forest-Steppe zone. Recommendations for cultivating this variety include sowing from optimal to very late dates (up to October 20). The variety is adaptable to various soil types and preceding crops, allowing cultivation after corn and sunflower harvests. To achieve maximum yield, use plant growth regulators and high doses of nitrogen fertilization. The variety has weak photoperiod sensitivity, with a vernalization period of 20-25 days, contributing to its early maturity and adaptability to various agroclimatic conditions.
