Wreath of Podillya

Wreath of Podillya is a high-yielding variety of soft winter wheat of intensive type, intended for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia regions of Ukraine. The variety belongs to the medium-maturing western European type with a vegetation period of approximately 280-287 days. Plants are characterized by medium height of 92-95 cm, short stems, and resistance to lodging, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions.

The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, rated at 8-9 points, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climates. Wreath of Podillya is also resistant to powdery mildew and brown leaf rust, reducing the need for frequent fungicide applications and promoting ecological production. The grain of this variety has excellent milling and baking qualities, containing 14.5-15.5 % protein and 29.5-35.1 % crude gluten, ensuring high quality of the final product.

To achieve maximum yield, which can reach up to 10 t/ha, it is recommended to grow Wreath of Podillya using intensive technology with optimal and high doses of mineral fertilizers. The seeding rate is 5.5-6.0 million germinating seeds per hectare. Due to its biological and agronomic characteristics, this variety is an excellent choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality winter wheat yields.
