The Feya variety of hard spring wheat is a medium-maturing type of Triticum durum Desf., developed by multiple individual selection from a segregating interspecific hybrid population F8. Plants of this variety are distinguished by high drought resistance and resistance to a range of diseases, including fusarium head blight, leaf spots, and bunt, while being moderately susceptible to powdery mildew. Plant height varies from 95 to 114 cm, the head is cylindrical of medium length 7–7.5 cm, the grain is white, large, and elongated, with a mass of 1000 grains ranging from 39-45 g. Feya demonstrates high yield and adaptability to various growing conditions. The average yield in the region is about 45.7 centners/ha, while the maximum figures were recorded in the Oryol region in 2022 — 6.54 tons/ha. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Belgorod region and is intended for the production of wheat and semolina, making it an economically viable choice for agricultural enterprises. The expected economic benefit from using the variety reaches 8,500 rubles per hectare. Thus, the Feya variety combines high grain quality, resistance to adverse abiotic factors and diseases, as well as high productivity. These characteristics make it promising for cultivation in various regions, ensuring a stable and quality yield, which is especially important for the production of products from hard wheat.
