Bereginya Mironovska

Winter wheat variety Bereginya Mironovska is a high-yielding and medium-maturing variety with a vegetation period of 270-300 days. Registered in 2016 by the Mironov Institute of Wheat named after V.M. Remesla, National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. This variety belongs to the glabrous (without awns) type and is distinguished by high adaptability, allowing successful cultivation on soils with low fertility, ensuring stable and high yields.

Bereginya Mironovska possesses high winter hardiness and drought resistance, as well as resistance to major diseases and pests, including powdery mildew, root rots, brown and yellow rust, leaf septoria, Fusarium head blight, and hard smut. The variety is characterized by high stem density, allowing sowing rates to be reduced to 4.5 million seeds per hectare. Yield varies between 6.6 and 11.3 tons per hectare, reaching maximum levels on highly mineralized soils.

The grain of this variety has high quality characteristics: test weight is 780 g/l, crude protein content — 13.4-14.6 %, crude gluten — up to 32 %, which corresponds to the first quality group. Dough strength ranges from 240-260 arbitrary units, and bread volume reaches up to 1200 cm³. Due to these indicators, Bereginya Mironovska is valuable for the bakery industry and is ideally suited for cultivation on low-fertility soils.
