Arika wheat variety is a medium-maturing and winter-hardy type, intended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions. It is characterized by a high yield potential, reaching 5.5–6.7 tons per hectare, and a vegetation period of 257–276 days. Plant height varies between 72.3–98 cm, and the ear type is cylindrical. The thousand-grain weight is approximately 41.4–46.9 grams, indicating a large-grain variety.

Arika wheat has a high protein content — 13.2–13.9%, as well as a significant level of gluten (27.8–28.4%) and flour strength of 260–270 W, ensuring excellent baking properties. The loaf volume from 100 grams of flour reaches 980 ml, confirming the variety's superior technological performance. Additionally, the variety exhibits high resistance to lodging, shattering, drought, and several diseases, including powdery mildew, rust, Fusarium ear rot, as well as pests such as the wheat fly and grain aphid, with resistance ratings of 8–9 points.

Arika wheat is successfully grown on fertile black soil, as demonstrated by the agricultural holding 'Arnika' in Poltava region, where favorable soil conditions result in high yield and grain quality. This variety is suitable for grain production and is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality harvest under moderate climate conditions.
