Potato Fanatka

Operating the 'Fanatka' Potato Variety

When selecting the 'Fanatka' variety developed by the Institute of Potato Research of the NAAS, the primary focus is on operational efficiency and yield predictability. For an agricultural operator, this variety offers a reliable experience due to its high responsiveness to standard cultivation practices.

Technical Performance

• Field Management: The variety exhibits robust resistance to common pathogens like late blight and scab. This reduces the frequency of necessary chemical interventions, lowering overall operational costs per hectare.
• Harvesting and Storage: The tubers are resilient during mechanical harvesting, maintaining a high percentage of marketable quality. Once in storage, 'Fanatka' demonstrates excellent longevity, ensuring that inventory remains viable for market sale well into the season.
• Input Efficiency: The variety shows strong early growth vigor, which helps in canopy closure, reducing weed competition and decreasing the need for secondary mechanical weed control.
• Market Value: Known for excellent culinary properties, the tubers maintain their structure after cooking and do not darken. This consistency makes the product highly liquid in both retail and HoReCa segments.

'Fanatka' is a reliable choice for producers looking for a low-maintenance, high-yield столовый (table-stock) potato. It performs consistently under various conditions and minimizes the risks associated with storage losses. By managing the standard nutrient and hydration schedule, operators can expect a high-quality, market-ready output that meets both commercial and consumer demands.
