Description Artemis
Potato variety Artemis — a fast-maturing table variety, developed in the Netherlands and registered in Russia in 2008. Its main advantage is a short maturation period of 45–60 days, allowing for two harvests per season. The plant is of medium height with semi-erect stems and light green leaves. Tubers are oval-shaped with small eyes, smooth yellow skin, and light-yellow dense flesh with a rich potato flavor and low moisture content. Starch content varies from 11 to 15%, ensuring good product quality.

The variety is characterized by high yield — averaging 230–350 centners per hectare, with up to 25 well-developed tubers per plant weighing 92–144 grams, reaching maximum marketable mass by day 60 after planting. Marketability of the potato reaches 87–98%, and storability reaches 93%, allowing storage for up to half a year at around +3°C without sprouting. Artemis potato is distinguished by high transportability and resistance to mechanical damage.

For successful cultivation, planting is recommended in the second half of May on light, fertile soils after adequate warming. Moderate watering (1–3 times) and two hilling operations are required during the vegetative period, at plant heights of 15 and 25 cm. Mineral and organic fertilizers are essential. The variety is resistant to potato scab, golden nematode, and leaf curl virus, has moderate resistance to common late blight and fusarium, but is susceptible to late blight on foliage.
