Hybrid sunflower Pearl is a medium-early variety with a vegetation period of about 112 days. Plants reach high height at maturity and are characterized by the absence of branching. Leaves have a green color with a bluish tint, and ray flowers are light yellow. Seeds have a medium weight of 1000 seeds around 63.5 grams, weakly expressed marginal stripes, and high oil content — about 44%. Under optimal conditions, yield may reach 31.2 centners per hectare, with oil yield of approximately 6 centners per hectare. Hybrid Pearl shows resistance to certain diseases: it is severely affected by rust in field conditions, but weakly affected by downy mildew, and no signs of dry or gray rot are observed. Due to its characteristics and stable yield, it is recommended for cultivation in regions with similar climatic conditions, particularly in the Volgograd region. Additionally, the Pearl variety has decorative qualities, making it attractive for landscape design. It features a compact, single-head habit and low stature, which distinguishes it from other sunflowers. To enhance productivity and protect plants, it is recommended to use a long-acting liquid organic-mineral complex containing nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, calcium, boron, and other microelements. This complex stimulates early development, prevents chlorosis, activates photosynthesis, and enhances immunity, promoting proper head formation and high-quality seed maturation.
