Sunflower GIRAL is a high-yielding hybrid developed with modern agronomic technologies and adapted for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Forest Steppe and Steppe of Ukraine. This hybrid features a medium-maturing period, ranging from 93 to 109 days depending on the specific selection, allowing effective planning of planting campaigns and consistent yields. Plant height reaches 170-190 cm, and large heads with diameters from 23 to 42 cm ensure high seed output, which is especially important for confectionery and oil production.
GIRAL is characterized by high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew A-F, false powdery mildew, verticillium, stem and head sclerotinia, as well as pathogens such as black leg, perenniporia, fomopsis, rust, and gray mold. In addition, the hybrid demonstrates excellent drought and stress tolerance, confirmed by high winter hardiness and lodging resistance. These qualities make it a reliable choice for regions with variable climates and insufficient moisture.
GIRAL seeds have high oil content — up to 50-52% — ensuring high economic efficiency in oil production. The 1000-seed weight ranges from 63 to 140 grams, indicating large seed size and high seed quality. The hybrid is treated with modern fungicides and growth stimulants, promoting rapid and uniform germination and improving overall plant vigor. Thanks to its high leafiness and powerful root system reaching up to 2 meters deep, GIRAL effectively retains water and nutrients, positively affecting yield and quality parameters.
