Truvor is a high-oil sunflower hybrid recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone and especially suitable for northern regions with a frost-free period of at least 110 days. It belongs to ultra-early and low-growing varieties with a vegetative period of about 80 days. Plant height varies from 145 to 170 cm, and the flower head diameter reaches 20 cm. Potential yield is up to 4.0 t/ha, with oil content in seeds reaching 49%. The recommended plant density at harvest is approximately 55,000 plants per hectare. Truvor seeds are first-generation hybrids and are distinguished by high yield and sterility, ensuring high quality and productivity of the harvest. Successful cultivation requires strict adherence to agronomic norms, including selection of optimal sowing dates, rational sowing schemes of parent forms, selection of optimal plant density, as well as timely harvesting and cleaning of seeds. Sowing is recommended in soil heated to 10°C at a depth of about 6 cm, with mandatory soil compaction by rolling. The variety exhibits high resistance to various diseases and stress factors, and seedlings can withstand frost down to -7°C. The latest sowing date is July 20. Seeds must be treated with fungicides containing thiophanate-methyl, thiabendazole, and metalaxyl-M, and it is recommended to apply "Cruiser 350-Fs" and "Colfugo Super" at specified doses for protection against diseases and pests.
