Sunflower P64LC108 is a medium-maturing, simple hybrid of the linoleic type, intended for cultivation using the Clearfield® technology with the herbicide Euro-Lightning®. The vegetative period ranges from 116 to 125 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to various climatic conditions in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. Plants are medium-height, 155 to 170 cm tall, with a well-developed root system and a high number of seeds per head, contributing to high yield and stability. The hybrid exhibits high drought tolerance (9 points) and lodging resistance (7 points), ensuring its resilience in hot and dry climates. Seed oil content reaches 50-54%, making P64LC108 attractive for oil production. The 1000-seed weight is approximately 58 g, and seed germination reaches 96%, guaranteeing good plant emergence and growth. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture levels: 55-60 thousand plants per hectare in adequately moist zones and 50-55 thousand in less moist zones. The hybrid shows high tolerance to major sunflower diseases, including phomopsis (6 points), white mold of heads and stems (5-6 points), and false powdery mildew (9 points). Additionally, P64LC108 is resistant to seven races of the nematode (wolf), enabling its cultivation on fields with high weed infestation and infection by this parasite. Thanks to its strong immunity and adaptive qualities, this hybrid is a reliable choice for achieving stable and high yields under various agroclimatic conditions.
