Sunflower 'Planet' is an extensive-type hybrid with high yield potential, exceeding nearby varieties by 3-5 centners per hectare. It features a longer vegetation period and flexibility in sowing dates, allowing adaptation to various climatic conditions. Seeds are selected and free from deformities, ensuring stable germination and high energy value of the harvest. The plant is drought- and weed-resistant, making it a reliable choice for agricultural production. Additionally, 'Planet' is an annual plant with a straight, branched stem reaching 150-200 cm in height. Its flower heads are large, 15-20 cm in diameter, with intensely red or burgundy petals and a dark center. Occasionally, cream-colored tones appear on the petals, enhancing the flower's decorative appeal. Flowering lasts from July to October, enabling its use not only in agriculture but also for decorative purposes. Sunflower 'Planet' is sown directly into open ground in April-May, at a depth of 2-5 cm, with a spacing of 30x40 cm, planting 2-3 seeds per hole. The plant prefers sunny locations with fertile, loose soil and tolerates frost down to -6°C. Due to its resilience to adverse conditions and striking appearance, sunflower 'Planet' is widely used for group plantings, wall and fence decoration, and for cutting and use in bouquets.
