Sunflower Pokrov

Sunflower variety Pокров is a high-yielding, edible variety from the confectionery segment, with plant height of 160-180 cm and large, well-formed heads with diameter of 22-27 cm. Branching is absent, which promotes uniform flowering and maturation. Seeds are oval-shaped, black with distinct stripes along the edges, characterized by large size — 1000 seeds weigh 75-98 g. Kernel mass content reaches 59.7%, and protein content in kernels is up to 20%, significantly higher than in oilseed varieties. These characteristics make Pокров attractive for use in the confectionery industry and for human consumption.

The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging, shattering, and lodging, ensuring stable yield and ease of harvest. Plants are characterized by high honey-producing and decorative qualities, expanding their application possibilities. For successful cultivation, sunflower requires fertile, well-drained soils with neutral pH and sunny location.
