Pronto OR7 sunflower hybrid is a medium-early, simple, intensive type hybrid developed for cultivation in various soil-climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. The vegetation period is 110-113 days, plant height reaches 160-170 cm, and flower diameter varies from 20 to 24 cm. Seeds are black with high oil content — 48-51% — ensuring high oil yield.
Pronto OR7 exhibits high resistance to stress factors such as drought and lodging, as well as high tolerance to herbicides of the imidazolinone (IMI) group, enabling effective weed control without plant intoxication. The hybrid also shows resistance to major sunflower diseases, including fusarium, phomopsis, rust, false powdery mildew, gray and white rot, as well as to sunflower moth and sunflower downy mildew.
The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 5.0 t/ha (50-55 c/ha), with an average yield over test years of approximately 3.6 t/ha. The recommended seeding rate for harvest period is 50-60 thousand plants per hectare, depending on the cultivation zone. Due to its agronomic characteristics and resistance to adverse conditions, Pronto OR7 is a reliable choice for achieving stable and high sunflower yields.
