KULUNDINSKY 1 is a fast-maturing sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) variety created by the Federal Altai Scientific Center of Agrobiotechnology. It belongs to large-fruited oilseed varieties of confectionery type and is characterized by stable high yield and improved technogenicity. Plants reach a height of 140-160 cm, and the mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 75-85 grams. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Ural and West Siberian regions, where it demonstrates good yield indicators — up to 14.0 c/ha in the Ural region and 23.4-27.9 c/ha in the Omsk region.
KULUNDINSKY 1 is distinguished by the high oil content of its seeds, which varies from 48 to 50% and reaches a maximum of 54.2% in some regions. This ensures a good yield of large oil fraction, making the variety attractive for industrial production. The sowing rate is 55-60 thousand seeds per hectare, while seeds are supplied treated and packed in bags of 150 thousand pieces.
The variety has high resistance to adverse factors: it is drought-resistant, frost-resistant, and resistant to diseases such as white and gray mold, downy mildew, and dodder. These qualities ensure crop stability and reduce the risk of losses under adverse weather conditions and diseases. KULUNDINSKY 1 is suitable for cultivation in complex climatic conditions, making it a profitable choice for farmers in the Ural and West Siberian regions.
