The Sunflower variety Irtyshe is a medium-height, robust plant with an erect, non-branching stem and serrated, heart-shaped leaves. Its large head becomes convex and half-turned downward at maturity. The seeds are oval-elongated, medium-sized, black with grey stripes, and are of high quality. This variety stands out for its synchronous flowering and ripening, as well as uniform plant height, making it one of the best Russian sunflower varieties.
Irtyshe belongs to ultra-early varieties with high oil content in seeds, reaching 54-56%. Potential yield ranges from 30 to over 40 centners per hectare, while oil extraction can reach 1.5 tons per hectare. The variety is resistant to diseases such as sclerotinia, dodder, and downy mildew, ensuring stable yields even in the challenging climatic conditions of Western Siberia and the Urals. Thanks to its early ripening period, Irtyshe is suitable for cultivation in regions with a short growing season.
Irtyshe sunflower seeds are rich in micro- and macro-elements, vitamins of groups B, PP, and E, as well as proteins and polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are particularly valuable for human health. Oil from these seeds is an important dietary element and is used for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis, liver, and bile duct diseases. Regular consumption of sunflower kernels helps meet the daily requirement for vitamin E and polyunsaturated fatty acids, making this variety indispensable for healthy and proper nutrition.
