Hysun 256 IT sunflower is a Serbian hybrid developed to enhance cultivation efficiency and resistance to adverse conditions. It exhibits low sensitivity to abiotic factors, ensuring rapid plant growth and development even at early vegetative stages. The hybrid is resistant to downy mildew, making it particularly valuable in regions with a high risk of infection by this pathogen.

Hysun 256 IT features high potential yield of up to 5 tons per hectare and high oil content in seeds — from 50 to 52%. The maturity period is 120–125 days, plant height reaches 170 cm. The sunflower head is thin and convex, with a diameter of 18–22 cm. The recommended planting density at harvest is 55–60 thousand plants per hectare, and the protein content in seeds ranges from 16–18%.

This hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions due to its adaptability and resistance to herbicide treatments, including Granstar at increased rates, which enables effective weed control.
