Sunflower Kharkivskiy 3 / Kharkivs'kyi 3

Proven Genetics for Sustainable Yields

"Kharkivskyi 3" represents the legacy of the V. Y. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, combining traditional breeding with modern herbicide tolerance. Designed for Ukrainian climatic conditions, this sunflower hybrid is built to deliver stability when other, more sensitive varieties may falter.

Technical Specifications

• Vegetation Cycle: 90–100 days. Its early-to-mid maturity allows growers to harvest before seasonal moisture deficits reach their peak.
• Herbicide Resistance: Fully compatible with the "Clearfield" (Euro-Lightning) technology. This provides farmers with a powerful tool to manage weeds effectively and keep fields clean throughout the growing season.
• Oil Content: A high oil output (50–55%) makes this a top-tier choice for industrial processors seeking quality raw materials.

The plant structure features a height of 170–180 cm and large, flattened heads, facilitating efficient mechanical harvesting. A key agronomic benefit is its natural resistance to powdery mildew, which significantly reduces the need for heavy fungicide applications.

Market Position

"Kharkivskyi 3" serves as a balanced option for producers focusing on cost-effective, high-yield agriculture. By bridging the gap between "simple" varieties and demanding modern hybrids, it offers predictable performance across diverse soil types. It is an ideal solution for those who prioritize a clean harvest, high oil extraction rates, and a reliable return on investment through robust genetic defense.
