Young

Young sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid designed for cultivation in the Steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. This medium-maturing variety has an optimal vegetation period of about 109-114 days, allowing it to successfully adapt to the climatic conditions of these regions. The hybrid demonstrates high yield, reaching up to 60 centners per hectare, as well as high oil content in seeds — up to 51%, making it attractive for oil production.

One of the key features of the Young sunflower is its high resistance to major diseases such as phomopsis, rot, phomosis, and downy mildew. This tolerance ensures stable yields and reduces the risk of losses under adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the hybrid exhibits good drought tolerance, confirmed by demonstration planting results, which is especially important for cultivation in dry regions.

To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to maintain optimal planting density: 55-60 thousand plants per hectare in more humid regions and up to 50 thousand in dry regions. Young sunflower seeds are treated with growth stimulators and fungicides, which promotes better plant development and protection against diseases. Due to its characteristics and versatility, this hybrid is suitable for both food industry and technical applications, including high-quality oil production.
