Sunflower Baster is an intensive, simple hybrid developed by Ukrainian selection for the 'Clearfield' technology under EuroLighting. It has a medium-early maturity period — the vegetation period is 107-110 days, which allows effective use in various climatic conditions across Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 170-180 cm and exhibit high resistance to lodging, contributing to yield retention under adverse weather conditions.
Hybrid Baster is characterized by high yield potential up to 55 centners per hectare and oil content up to 50%, making it attractive for linseed oil production. It shows excellent resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew (with genetic resistance to 6 strains, class A-F), phomopsis, phomosis, powdery mildew, black mold, white mold, and septoria. High drought tolerance and adaptability to stressful conditions enable cultivation in various zones, including moderately humid and arid regions.
Cultivation recommendations involve using intensive production technologies with optimal planting density to fully realize the hybrid's potential. Seeds are supplied in packages of 150,000 units, convenient for large-scale agricultural production. Due to its combination of high yield, quality oil composition, and disease resistance, sunflower Baster is a reliable choice for farmers aiming for efficient and stable production.
