This variety was developed at the Dubovskoy Support Station of the Nizhnevolsky NIISS from crossing the varieties Ispolinskaya and Vengerka local. Authors: R.V. Korneev, V.A. Korneev. Introduced into the State Register in 1987.
Trees are medium-sized, with an open, moderately dense crown. The bark on the trunk and main branches is flaking and gray. Branches grow off the trunk at a sharp angle. Branches are gray and curved. Shoots are strong, medium in length and thickness, gray-brown, with numerous lenticels. Buds are medium-sized, conical, brown, positioned on the shoot at a 45° angle. Leaves are medium-sized, inversely egg-shaped, wrinkled, dark green on top and light green underneath, slightly hairy, with short, pointed tips. Leaf blade is concave and curved upward. Leaf base is pointed. Leaf margin is toothed. Petiole is long, hairy, and pigmented. There are two yellow, small stipules. Trifoliate leaves are absent. Flowers are double, triple, white, medium-sized. Flowering occurs in mid-season. Fruit set is concentrated primarily on cluster branches, spurs, and long shoots from the previous year.
Fruits are large, with an average fruit weight of 30-40 g, elongated-oval, dark-purple, with a waxy coating. Fruit apex is rounded, base is rounded with a shallow depression. Pedicel is medium, short, straight. Ventral suture is medium, clearly visible. Flesh is greenish-yellow, juicy, slightly sour-sweet, flavorful, tender, and slightly fibrous. Pit is medium-sized, oval, detaches from the flesh moderately. Pit weight to flesh weight ratio is 7-8%. Juice is colorless. Fruits contain 17.9% dry matter, 12.66% sugars, 0.56% acids, and 9.63 mg/100g ascorbic acid. Fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and various processing methods.
Flowering occurs at the beginning of May. Fruit ripening occurs at the end of the second decade of August. Fruit production begins on the 4-5th year after planting as a one-year-old sapling. It grows well on large-fruited thorn, woolly cherry, almond, plum, and apricot rootstocks. Depending on the rootstock, tree longevity varies from 15 to 30 years. Variety is self-fertile. High and stable yield. Characterized by rapid yield increase; 5-6-year-old trees can produce 50-70 kg of fruit. Average yield of mature trees is 60-80 kg per tree. High winter hardiness. Susceptibility to diseases and pests is low. Suitable for mechanized fruit harvesting. Excellent transportability. Suitable for cultivation in intensive orchards.
Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness, fruit quality, high yield.
Disadvantages of the variety: tendency of the tree to be overloaded by fruit, resulting in smaller fruits and broken branches.
