TOŠA

The TOŠA pepper variety is an early-maturing sweet type, distinguished by its good adaptation to the climatic conditions of northern regions and the middle belt. Plants grow to a height of 50–70 cm and have a strong, compact semi-determinate growth habit. Bushes exhibit high fruit-set capability — each plant bears 20–28 peppers that do not drop even at low temperatures. This makes the variety particularly resilient and reliable for cultivation under various climatic conditions.

The peppers of the TOŠA variety are conical in shape with a pointed tip, glossy and aromatic. In technical maturity, they are light green, and in biological maturity — dark red. The average fruit weight is about 60–70 grams, and the pericarp wall thickness reaches 6–7 mm, ensuring juiciness and firmness of the fruit. Due to their size and shape, the peppers are ideal for stuffing and are widely used for fresh consumption and all types of processing, including canning.

The yield of the TOŠA variety is high and varies depending on growing conditions. In open ground, it ranges from 2.5 to 3 kg per square meter, while under plastic coverings it reaches 4.6–5 kg per square meter. Fruit ripening occurs from July to September, allowing for an early and stable harvest. The variety was developed by breeders and is recommended for cultivation both in private gardens and for commercial purposes.
