Tammara

Tammara pepper is a mid-early hybrid that grows successfully both in open and protected ground. The plant is compact, 40 to 70 cm tall, with strong foliage and dark green, egg-shaped leaves. The vegetation period is 68 to 72 days from seedling transplanting to the first harvest, allowing for a stable and regular yield. The hybrid is highly cold-resistant and resistant to pests and diseases, including verticillium wilt, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions, especially the moderate climate of Ukrainian summers. Tammara pepper fruits are large, weighing 160 to 300 grams, with thick walls of at least 6-7 mm. The fruit shape is elongated, flat-conical with thickening near the stem, type Kappa. In technical ripening stage, the fruits are light green, turning to a deep yellow or burgundy hue upon full ripening. The flesh has a high content of dry matter, giving it a rich flavor and attractive aroma. Due to its dense structure and good transportability, the pepper retains its qualities during long transport and storage. Tammara pepper is suitable for both large agro-companies and home gardeners. For successful cultivation, regular watering, weed control, and fertilization are recommended. High yield — 6 to 8 kg per square meter — and excellent taste make this hybrid popular on fresh markets.
