Pepper OSTRAK

Engineering approach to yield: Ostryak pepper

The breeding efforts of Ooo Npf Agrosemtoms regarding the Ostryak variety focus on balancing vegetative mass and generative load. This indeterminate hybrid is a practical solution for agronomists seeking controlled bush growth combined with high fruit mass.

Plant architecture and cultivation conditions

The indeterminate growth type dictates the bush formation strategy: the plant requires pruning and staking, which allows for the most efficient use of the feeding area. This structure is optimal for both open-field cultivation and greenhouse environments. The ability to adapt to various microclimatic zones is ensured by the resilience to temperature fluctuations, a hallmark of Npf Agrosemtoms breeding.

Fruit morphology and maturation dynamics

The technical maturity of the Ostryak pepper transitions from a saturated green to a yellow-white shade. The shift into biological maturity involves the accumulation of pigments that transform the fruit into a dark red, or in some cases, an intense orange color. The fruit shape is conical, which is considered standard for hot peppers in terms of market appeal and skin density.

• Mass: 120–160 g, significantly higher than the average for the market segment of hot peppers.
• Usage: specialized hot pepper segment.
• Originator base: development by V. M. Motov and O. B. Ostanina guarantees genetic purity and compliance with stated varietal characteristics.

The practical advantage of this variety lies in its stable fruit development. The large size (up to 160 g) combined with conical geometry simplifies logistics and initial crop processing. The balanced genetic potential provided by Ooo Npf Agrosemtoms allows for planning supply pipelines with predictable commercial quality.
