MAVRAS

MAVRAS — a mid-early hybrid of sweet pepper, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. The plant is open, medium-height, about 100-120 cm tall, with good foliage and high fruit set under various conditions. Seeds should be sown as sprouted at a temperature of 25-28°C, with seedlings appearing approximately on the 15th day. Planting density is 3-4 plants per square meter, which contributes to high yield.

MAVRAS fruits have a cube-shaped form with four chambers, about 12 cm long and 8-9 cm in diameter, weighing 190-210 grams. The fruit wall thickness reaches 7-8 mm, ensuring their density and excellent quality. At technical maturity, the fruits have a deep purple color, which gradually changes to red at biological maturity. This coloring feature makes the hybrid attractive for the fresh produce and processing markets.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) and blossom-end rot, significantly enhancing its reliability and crop quality. The fruiting period is 60-65 days from transplanting seedlings, and the total time from germination to full fruit maturity is 135-140 days. Yield reaches up to 8 kg per square meter in open ground and about 10 kg in protected conditions, making MAVRAS a profitable choice for commercial cultivation.
