Pelargonium Anna

Practical Management of 'Anna' Pelargonium

Developed by the Federal Research Center for Subtropical Scientific Center of the RAS, the 'Anna' cultivar is a standout for those who prioritize low-maintenance landscaping. As a bush-type pelargonium, it maintains a naturally compact habit, reducing the need for constant pruning or shaping. The green foliage remains dense throughout the season, providing a clean, consistent look in garden beds.

Cultivation and Performance

• Growth Habit: The plant is structurally sound, making it an excellent choice for open-ground planting. It does not sprawl, which simplifies spacing and planting logistics.
• Floral Performance: The flowers, measuring 4–5 cm in diameter, display a soft pink hue. Deadheading the spent blooms encourages a continuous flush of flowers, ensuring the garden remains vibrant.
• Maintenance: 'Anna' shows resilience to varying weather conditions. It thrives in well-draining soil and responds well to standard flower-specific fertilizer programs.

For the gardener or landscape operator, this variety is highly reliable. It withstands the challenges of outdoor exposure better than many sprawling hybrids. Irrigation requirements are standard for the genus, and the plant's ability to maintain its architectural integrity makes it ideal for mass planting or borders. If you are looking for a variety that offers consistent pink blooms without complex care requirements, 'Anna' provides a high-performance solution.
