Nymph – a large-flowered pelargonium, distinguished by its bright red flowering and rich aroma (assuming the absence of aroma in one description). The plant reaches a height of about 24 cm and a width of almost 30 cm, having a medium-leafy, loose growth. Leaves are green with a dark zone, medium length and width, open base, and small edge incisions.
Nymph flowers are gathered in umbel-like inflorescences of about 8×7 cm, containing about 26 buds. Each simple flower has petals of almost 5 cm length with a slight waviness. The upper petals are colored with pale purple edges and a bright purple-red spot of medium size, the lower ones are light purple at the edges and slightly lighter between the small bright purple-red spot. Flowering lasts 90–100 days, while the plant demonstrates good resistance to whitefly.
Nymph is perfect as a potted plant for the home and as a garden annual in any climate zones due to the early flowering time and long period. Thanks to the dense structure of inflorescences and bright coloring, it attracts attention as a decorative element in the interior and in open ground, where it can serve as a perennial on the Black Sea coast.
