SERDOLIK

The 'Serdolik' peach variety is a medium-sized tree with a dense, widely oval crown. It features large, rose-like blossoms and is self-fertile. The frost resistance of its flower buds is rated as moderate, making it suitable for cultivation in regions with moderate winter conditions. The fruit ripens in the first or second decade of August, allowing for a harvest in mid-summer.

'Serdolik' fruits have a medium size, weighing between 110 and 135 grams, with an oval or widely oval shape, a rounded apex, and a medium-sized indentation at the base. The skin is covered with a soft, sometimes slightly stiff velvety fuzz and is colored bright yellow with a blurred carmine blush covering 25% to 50% of the surface. The flesh is yellow, cartilaginous in texture, and has a rich taste, confirmed by a tasting score of 4.5 points. The pit is of medium size, firmly held in the flesh and does not separate from it.

The 'Serdolik' variety is characterized by high and regular yield; fruits ripen almost simultaneously and are well-preserved after harvest. Due to its qualities, it is versatile in use: suitable for both fresh consumption and preservation, such as making compotes. 'Serdolik' is a high-quality preserving variety recommended for cultivation in southern Ukraine. Additionally, the variety is among promising sources of flower bud frost resistance, making it valuable for breeding and hybridization.
