Description MEMORY OF KHANGILDINA
Pea variety Memory of Khangildina is a mid-early variety with a vegetation period from 62 to 80 days. Plants reach a height of 50 to 86 cm, ensuring convenience for mechanized harvesting. The variety is characterized by high resistance to shattering and lodging, as well as enhanced drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Seeds have a mass of 210-269 g per 1000 seeds, cotyledons are yellow, and seeds are spherical with a closed light-colored hilum. Memory of Khangildina was bred by multiple individual selection from the hybrid population Chishminsky 95 × Usach, ensuring high yield and stability of indicators. Average yield in the Volga-Vyatsk region reaches 22.8 c/ha, which is 1.8 c/ha higher than standard varieties, while in the Urals region it is 11.7 c/ha, matching the level of standards. The maximum yield recorded in the Republic of Mari El was 38.8 c/ha. Protein content in the grain is in the range of 22.1-23.9%, which meets the quality requirements for the product. For optimal cultivation of the variety, it is recommended to use predecessors such as winter rye and spring wheat, as well as ensure mineral nutrition by applying phosphorus in an amount of 40-60 kg P2O5 per hectare and potassium according to soil indicators. The sowing rate is 1.2-1.3 million viable seeds per hectare at a sowing depth of 6-7 cm. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatsk, Middle Volga, and Urals regions, including the Sverdlovsk region and the Republics of Udmurtia and Bashkortostan. Despite medium susceptibility to ascochyta blight and rust, the variety exhibits high resistance to root rots.
