Root parsley Mozkrauze

Market Standard: The Rijk Zwaan Performance

For commercial growers focused on the fresh herb market, selecting 'Moskrul' (Moskrause) from Dutch breeders Rijk Zwaan is a strategic choice for consistent, predictable yields. This leafy-type hybrid has set a benchmark for those supplying modern retail chains and wholesale markets.

Why growers prioritize this hybrid

The core value of this variety lies in its fusion of visual appeal and biological robustness. You receive a dark green, heavily curled foliage that maintains marketability even after prolonged transport—a critical factor in the fresh produce business where leaf degradation equals direct profit loss.

• Operational efficiency: The hybrid shows significant resistance to downy mildew, allowing for reduced pesticide use and fewer fungicide applications.
• Pest defense: Proven resistance to lettuce aphids simplifies field monitoring during the early stages and pre-harvest periods.
• Vigorous regrowth: The variety exhibits rapid recovery after harvesting, making it ideal for multiple cuts throughout the growing season.

Practical Application Scenarios

'Moskrul' thrives in both open-field conditions and sheltered greenhouse environments. It is the preferred choice for farmers operating on a continuous production model. Due to its high plant density and vigorous habit, this hybrid ensures an excellent yield of marketable mass per square meter. Optimized mineral fertilization programs, combined with this specific genetics, result in a deep, vibrant leaf color—a key quality metric for consumers at the point of sale.
