Root parsley Felicity

Stable yields of leaf parsley with Dutch genetics

Choosing seeds for professional vegetable production requires predictability. Rijk Zwaan introduced the «Felici» variety, which addresses a key pain point for farmers: comprehensive resistance to diseases in intensive farming environments. This leaf parsley is adapted for both open-field and greenhouse cultivation, where both the marketability of the herbs and their resilience against pathogens are paramount.

Agronomic field advantages

The primary goal when working with «Felici» is to achieve high-quality foliage with strong regrowth energy after harvesting. The main advantage of this variety is its genetic resistance to a range of diseases, which reduces the need for heavy fungicide applications:

• Verticillium and Fusarium wilt: protecting the root system, which is crucial for obtaining succulent and dense leaves.
• Tomato Mosaic Virus and Cladosporium: eliminates early culling due to leaf spotting or deformation.

The practical value of «Felici» lies in its suitability for long cultivation cycles. In commercial production where parsley is sown via a conveyor method, this variety demonstrates excellent uniformity. The leaves possess a deep, rich color and consistent shape, which simplifies pre-sale preparation and meets the standards of premium retail chains.

Field application scenarios

Agronomists choose «Felici» for farms targeting the fresh herb market. The variety performs exceptionally well under intensive cultivation technologies; it is responsive to irrigation and systematic fertilization while maintaining a compact habit. This allows for optimal plant density without the fear of rapid fungal spread in dense plantings. If you are building a business around providing high-quality parsley year-round, the characteristics of «Felici» allow for precise harvest planning with minimal risks from disease pressure.
