Precision Breeding from German Experts

The «Fensi» variety of ryegrass, developed by Feldsaaten Freudenberger GmbH&Co.KG, represents a synergy of breeding excellence between KWS and Freudenberger. The biological profile of this variety focuses on the equilibrium between vegetative growth rates and resilience against environmental stress, which is essential for establishing a reliable and stable sward. The technological solutions implemented by the originators optimize the plant’s metabolism, allowing for predictable performance even under moderate management intensities.

Agronomic Advantages and Practical Value

The core strength of «Fensi» lies in its adaptability. Unlike highly specialized varieties that demand strict adherence to fertilizer schedules, this variety offers high plasticity. From a technical perspective, this is supported by:

• Optimized Tillering: Shoot density is evenly distributed throughout the growing season, preventing sward thinning.
• Regeneration Speed: Following mechanical harvesting, the variety displays a rapid recovery rate, minimizing the lag time before the next growth cycle.
• Seed Vigor: Feldsaaten Freudenberger’s production standards ensure high field emergence levels, reducing risks during the planting stage.

Choosing «Fensi» is a commitment to the reliability of German quality. For agricultural enterprises prioritizing cost-efficiency, this variety provides an optimal balance between maintenance investments and final yield—whether in green mass or hay production. Its moderate care requirements make it a versatile tool for both extensive grassland management and medium-cycle forage mixtures.
