The herbicide Titus is a systemic two-component product for post-emergence treatment of corn crops for grain and silage, designed for effective control of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds. The active ingredients arenicosulfuron at 500 g/kg and rimsulfuron at 250 g/kg, which provide high selectivity and efficacy against undesirable vegetation. The product is available in water-soluble granules and packaged in plastic containers of 250 g, which is convenient for storage and application.
The herbicide's action is based on rapid penetration of active substances through weed leaves, which allows effective suppression of growth and development of harmful plants. Rimsulfuron, penetrating into growing weeds, inhibits the synthesis of acetolactate synthase enzyme and stops cell division at growth points, leading to cessation of weed growth within several hours after application. Symptoms of the product's effect become noticeable approximately after 7 days, and complete weed death occurs within 2-3 weeks, significantly reducing competition for water and nutrients with crop plants.
To enhance treatment effectiveness, it is recommended to use the herbicide in combination with the adjuvant Trend, which forms a thin film on the weed surface, promoting prolonged retention of the product on leaves and accelerated penetration of active substances into plants. This allows reducing the herbicide dosage and volume of working solution, saving costs and improving the ecological safety of treatment. The recommended application rate is 40–50 g per hectare, and the optimal treatment stage is from 2 to 6 leaves on crop plants.
