Pajitnitsa is a perennial low-growing grass, widely distributed in Ukraine and Europe, especially on cereal crops, flax, and pastures. It is used as forage and lawn grass, but has a high allergenic potential due to pollen, which can cause various allergic reactions in people, including rhinitis, conjunctivitis, sneezing, laryngeal edema, and even shock. Additionally, pajitnitsa is used in culinary applications as a spice and possesses antioxidant properties.
To effectively combat pajitnitsa and other grassy weeds, systemic herbicides such as "Obereg" are used. This product has a broad spectrum of action, eliminating annual and perennial grassy weeds, including crabgrass, mousegrass, oatgrass, timothy, and others. The herbicide quickly penetrates the plant, accumulates in nodes and underground rhizomes, destroys meristematic tissues, and prevents regrowth of weeds.
Application of the herbicide is recommended during the active growth phase of weeds at temperatures between +10 to +25 °C, in early morning or late evening hours, avoiding rain and mixing with other products. "Obereg" is suitable for treating various crops such as strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, onions, cabbage, sugar beets, sunflowers, potatoes, rapeseed, soy, flax, and others. Thanks to its systemic activity, the product provides reliable protection for crops against grassy weeds, increasing crop yield and quality.
