Onion Zen

Zen 1003 F1 is a medium-late hybrid of bulb onion, developed by the Italian company Esasem. This variety is characterized by high productivity and stable yield, reaching 30-50 tons per hectare. The onion is ready for harvest 120 days after emergence and can be grown both in open ground and under various climatic conditions due to its adaptability and stress resistance. The plant has strong immune protection and resistance to a wide range of diseases, ensuring reliability and quality of the harvest.

Onions of the Zen variety have a round shape and a rich dark-purple color with a glossy sheen. The outer scales are dense and intact, while the inner layers are juicy, meaty, and aromatic with a distinct sweet flavor and a slight bitterness in aftertaste. Due to its high amino acid content, the onion has a pronounced pleasant aroma. Under proper care and cultivation on fertile light soil, the weight of one onion can reach up to 300 grams. The onion is not prone to cracking or bolting, which further enhances its market appeal.

The Zen variety has good transportability and retains its flavor and nutritional value after thermal processing, canning, and freezing. The onion does not split during harvest, transportation, and storage, which contributes to its long shelf life and ease of use. For successful cultivation, good lighting for the crop is recommended, as this plant is sun-loving. All these characteristics make Zen 1003 F1 an excellent choice for fresh consumption and industrial production.
