Description Junior
Junior Onion is a new early hybrid of bulb onion, developed for obtaining high yield within a short growing period of about 95-100 days. This hybrid is characterized by excellent market appearance, round golden bulbs with a diameter of 50-70 mm and a weight of 120-180 grams. Due to its high plasticity and resistance to stressful growing conditions such as drought and overcrowding, Junior is suitable for various climatic zones, including Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.

The Junior hybrid demonstrates high yield — from 85 to 90 tons per hectare at the recommended sowing rate of about 1 million seeds per hectare. It tolerates mechanical harvesting well, which facilitates harvest collection and increases production efficiency. Under intensive mineral nutrition, the onion retains its quality and resistance, making it suitable for both early field marketing and medium-term storage without loss of market properties.

The recommended sowing period for the Junior hybrid is the first and second decade of March, ensuring optimal conditions for plant growth and development. The onion can be stored for 4-5 months, expanding its usage and marketing potential. The hybrid is produced in Italy, guaranteeing high seed quality and compliance with modern agronomic standards.
