Savel

Savel Onion — an early, high-quality onion variety developed by the Dutch company Hazera. This variety is suitable for year-round cultivation, both in open and protected ground, making it a versatile solution for various climatic conditions and cultivation technologies. The onion rapidly accumulates green mass and exhibits high resistance to stress factors, including sunburn and adverse weather conditions.

The plant is characterized by deep green leaves and does not form bulbs, but has a small, white, thickened part up to 10 centimeters long. The stem height is 42–45 centimeters, which is considered optimal for easy harvesting and further processing. The leaves are easy to clean and have a thick wall that reliably protects the plant from strong winds. Moreover, Savel onion is distinguished by uniformity of product and high leaf density, making it 25% heavier compared to other varieties.

The variety is resistant to fungal diseases and onion pathogens, significantly reducing the risk of crop losses and the need for chemical protection. Thanks to its excellent taste and long-lasting commercial appearance after harvest, Savel onion is an excellent choice for both farmers and commercial cultivation.
