Krepysh

The Krepysh onion variety belongs to medium-maturing varieties with a maturity period of 90 to 115 days. The bulbs of this variety are round and dense, weighing from 80 to 130 grams and more. The taste of the onion is sharp, the dry skins have a brown color, and the juicy ones are white. Due to its taste qualities, Krepysh is excellent for use in salads, seasonings, as well as in first and second courses, providing the body with necessary vitamins.

The variety quickly forms a bulb—already 5-5.5 weeks after the appearance of seedlings. It is recommended to grow Krepysh as a one-year crop from seeds. To obtain larger bulbs, sowing seeds for seedlings is carried out in March, and transplanting seedlings into open ground—in early May. When direct sowing in the ground, seeds are planted in late April—early May at a depth of 1.0-1.5 cm. The optimal planting scheme is 7x15 cm.

Krepysh is distinguished by good yield, which is from 3.0 to 6.5 kg per square meter. This variety of onion stores well, which allows for its use for a long time after the harvest. All these characteristics make the Krepysh variety universal and convenient for growing in both personal estates and for commercial purposes.
