Description Grandina
Grandina is a variety of bulb onion developed in Ukraine, distinguished by high yield and good flavor qualities. The bulbs have a round shape and dense structure, with an average weight of about 190 grams. The bulbs' exterior is characterized by yellow or red-purple skin, and the flavor can be either sharp or mild, making this variety suitable for various culinary purposes, including salads.

The Grandina variety is classified as mid-late or early maturing, depending on growing conditions, and yields approximately 120-125 days after sowing. The plant prefers sunny, open areas and grows well in sandy loam, composted, and light clay soils without waterlogging. For optimal growth, spacing between plants should be about 10 by 20 centimeters.

Despite some limited resistance to diseases, Grandina is successfully cultivated in various regions, including the Volga and West Siberian areas. The variety yields 2-3 kg per square meter, making it attractive for farmers and gardeners. The onion stores well during winter under proper storage conditions, allowing for prolonged use after harvest.
