GOLDEN BATAM

The Golden Batam onion variety represents a reliable mid-late maturity type with a maturation period of about 130 days. It is distinguished by large bulbs of a regular spherical shape with a very thin neck and a beautiful golden-yellow outer skin. The inner part of the bulb is pure white, firm and juicy, possessing an excellent sweet taste. This variety is a superb French type of the famous Density variety and is suitable for growing in a two-year culture from sets.

Golden Batam is distinguished by high yields, reaching 165 centners per hectare, and good winter hardiness. The onion has tight adhesion of dry wrapper scales, which have a yellow color, while juicy scales are white with a greenish tint. Ripeness before harvest is 98%, which ensures a stable and quality harvest. Onion harvesting begins in August, and thanks to its properties, the bulbs store well throughout the winter, until May, preserving freshness and taste qualities.

This onion variety is rich in vitamins, including vitamin C and B group vitamins, as well as minerals - magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, sulfur, and zinc. Golden Batam onion is universal in application: it can be consumed raw, steamed, fried, and used for various canned goods. Due to the high content of essential oils and excellent taste, it will be an excellent choice for both home use and commercial growing.
