Cucumber ZEFIR F1

Reliable Open-Field Yields

The Zefir F1 cucumber by Nasko is a proven bee-pollinated hybrid tailored for outdoor cultivation. Its generative growth habit allows the plant to focus its energy on fruit production rather than excessive vegetative mass, ensuring high yields within 45–50 days after germination.

Practical Field Application

Zefir F1 is a staple for growers looking for consistency. Whether for fresh market sales or home processing, this variety offers several distinct advantages:

• Processing Excellence: With an average fruit weight of 80 grams and a dense, crisp internal structure, Zefir F1 is highly sought after for pickling and canning. It maintains its texture well during preservation.
• Market Appeal: The dark green color and medium-warted skin give these cucumbers a classic commercial appearance that appeals to consumers. The skin is durable, which helps minimize bruising during harvest and transportation.
• Adaptability: Bred by Nasko for Ukrainian conditions, this hybrid handles fluctuating temperatures well, making it a low-stress choice for field agriculture.

As a bee-pollinated hybrid, Zefir F1 is best suited for open-field plots with good access for pollinators. Its balanced plant structure makes maintenance—such as pruning or trellising—straightforward and manageable for farmers of all experience levels.

Cultivation Tips

To maximize the harvest potential of Zefir F1, ensure regular harvesting to stimulate the plant to continue producing new fruits. It responds well to standard nutrient management programs during the peak of the fruiting period. For growers looking for a dependable crop that delivers high-quality yields without the complexities of greenhouse climate control, Zefir F1 remains a top-tier choice.
