Lucky

Cucumber variety 'Lucky' is an early, high-yielding hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground. From germination to the first harvest, it takes 42 to 53 days depending on growing conditions. Plants have female flowering type and form 2-3 fruits per node, contributing to high yield. Bushes are compact and medium-branched, making care and harvesting easier.

Fruits of cucumber 'Lucky' are elongated, straight, light green with barely visible white stripes and large bumps. Fruit length is 10-12 cm, weight — 90 to 120 grams. Cucumbers have crisp texture and excellent flavor. Suitable for fresh consumption as well as for pickling and salting. Small seed cavity and absence of hollows make fruits especially attractive for various processing methods.

For successful cultivation of variety 'Lucky', warmth, sufficient humidity and fertile soil are required. Sowing is recommended after frost danger, when soil temperature reaches 10-12°C. Sowing rate is 0.2-0.5 g per square meter, seed depth — 3-4 cm. In the 1-2 leaf stage, plant density should be adjusted for optimal growth. Yield under plastic cover reaches 12-13 kg per square meter, making this variety attractive for gardeners and farmers.
