Ministar cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid, characterized by its friendly and rapid yield. Plants have an open type with a main stem height of about 270-280 cm and shortened internodes. Leaves are small and green, and lateral branches are determinate, sometimes normal lateral branches occur. One to two, sometimes up to four fruits form at each node. Fruits are cylindrical, smooth, 9-11 cm long and about 3.2 cm in diameter, dark green, weighing 85-100 grams. This size and shape make cucumbers convenient for packaging and sale on trays. Ministar is an ecologically adaptable hybrid suitable for cultivation under various conditions, including open ground and protected greenhouses, such as light and film greenhouses. It is recommended for summer-autumn turnover and industrial cultivation in large volumes, making it popular among farmsteads and greenhouse complexes. The parthenocarpic type allows harvesting without pollination, which is especially important for stable fruiting in enclosed spaces. The hybrid has high resistance to true powdery mildew (Px) and tolerance to false powdery mildew (Pcu), as well as resistance to root rots. These characteristics ensure reliable and stable yields even under unfavorable cultivation conditions.
